NOVA PHILHARMONIA - Debut concert

Nova Philharmonia is a visionary youth orchestra dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians while celebrating both cultural heritage and innovation. Named after the Armenian poet and musician Sayat Nova, and with a nod to its Latin roots meaning “new,” the ensemble brings together emerging artists from around the world.

I had the privilege of photographing their debut concert at St. James’s Church in Paddington, capturing the passion and energy of their performance. The evening featured a compelling programme, including Arutiunian’s Violin Concerto, Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1, all conducted by Patricia Khachkalyan Gomes.

It was an honour to visually preserve the spirit of this ambitious orchestra as they embarked on their journey to inspire audiences and keep the classical music tradition alive.
