MATTHEW LYNCH sold-out concert at Barbican with Dev Hynes

Matthew reached out to me to document the rehearsals and the highly anticipated and sold out two-night concert at Barbican featuring Dev Hynes and the renowned London Symphony Orchestra (LSO).

Capturing the essence of conductors through photography is a truly captivating experience. The conductor serves as the bridge between the orchestra and the audience, guiding the musicians to create a harmonious and powerful performance. Photographing conductors requires not only technical skill but also an acute sense of timing and composition to capture the conductor's unique gestures, expressions, and movements that convey their passion and interpretation of the music.

Matthew possess that commanding presence that demands attention and respect and is so characteristic of great conductors and it was an amazing experience to try and capture all the moments where that presence mixes with pure, raw, emotion.

The rehearsals were conducted at both St Lukes and Barbican. You can stay up to date with Matthew Lynch news and concert on his website
